Lawrence Taylor

Lawrence Julius Taylor, commonly known as L.T., is a former American football linebacker who played his entire career for the New York Giants in the NFL. Born on February 4, 1959, Taylor is widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive players of all time. He had a successful college career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before being selected as the second overall pick in the 1981 NFL Draft. Taylor made an immediate impact, winning the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 1981 and becoming the only player to win the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in his rookie season. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Taylor was a dominant force, revolutionizing defensive strategies and influencing offensive formations in the NFL.
