Lee Pace Biography
Lee Grinner Pace (born March 25, 1979) is an American actor known for his roles in various movies and TV shows. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Thranduil the Elvenking in The Hobbit trilogy and as Joe MacMillan in the AMC period drama television series Halt and Catch Fire. Pace has also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ronan the Accuser in Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel. He received an Emmy nomination in 2008 for his performance in the ABC comedy-drama Pushing Daisies. Currently, Pace stars as Brother Day, the galactic emperor, in the television series Foundation, based on the works of Isaac Asimov. Born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, he spent his childhood in Saudi Arabia and later moved to Houston, Texas. Pace attended Klein High School with actor Matt Bomer.
