Leon Eugene Gonzalez III (born September 21, 1963) is a former American football wide receiver. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez attended Jean Ribault High School where he excelled in football, basketball, and track. He went on to receive a football scholarship to Bethune-Cookman University. During his college career, Gonzalez became a standout player, earning the nickname 'Speedy' Gonzalez. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1985 NFL Draft and also played for the Atlanta Falcons. Throughout his NFL career, Gonzalez showcased his skills as a wide receiver and contributed to his team's success.
