Leonora LaPeter Anton

Leonora LaPeter Anton is an American journalist known for her work with the Tampa Bay Times. She co-received the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting in 2016. Anton grew up in Connecticut but also spent a significant part of her childhood in Greece. She studied journalism at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. Anton began her career as a writer for the Okeechobee News in Florida and later worked for The Island Packet in South Carolina, where she covered environmental and health care topics. She then joined the Tampa Bay Times in 2000, earning the American Society of News Editors award for deadline reporting that same year. Anton's Pulitzer-winning series, 'Insane. Invisible. In Danger,' was published by the Tampa Bay Times.
