Linda Moulton Howe (born January 20, 1942) is an American investigative journalist, documentary filmmaker, and ufologist. She is best known for her work in the field of ufology and her advocacy of various conspiracy theories. Howe has extensively investigated topics such as cattle mutilations, speculating that they are performed by extraterrestrials. Additionally, she has made speculations about the involvement of the U.S. government in alien activities. Born in Boise, Idaho, Howe won the 1963 Miss Idaho crown and scholarships after winning the 1963 Miss Boise pageant. She received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of Colorado in 1965 and her master's degree in communication from Stanford University in 1968.
