Linda Sarsour
Linda Sarsour (born 1980) is an American political activist known for her involvement in various civil rights issues. She gained prominence as a co-chair of the 2017 Women's March, the 2017 Day Without a Woman, and the 2019 Women's March. Sarsour, a Muslim of Palestinian descent, has been an advocate for causes such as protesting police surveillance of American Muslims, police brutality, feminism, immigration policy, and mass incarceration. Additionally, she has organized Black Lives Matter demonstrations and challenged the legality of the Trump travel ban.
