Lindsay Davenport

Lindsay Ann Davenport Leach (born June 8, 1976) is an American former professional tennis player. Davenport held the singles world No. 1 ranking for 98 weeks and was ranked year-end No. 1 four times (1998, 2001, 2004, and 2005). Known for her powerful groundstrokes, she won 55 WTA Tour singles titles, including three major titles, and the gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Davenport also won 38 WTA Tour doubles titles, including three major titles, and three Tour Finals. She earned a total of US$22,166,338 in her career, ranking eighth among female tennis players. Davenport's achievements cemented her as one of the most successful American tennis players of all time.
