Lisa Robertson Biography
Lisa Robertson (born July 22, 1961) is a Canadian poet, essayist, and translator. She is known for her contributions to the fields of poetry, theory, and criticism. Born in Toronto, Ontario, she later moved to British Columbia where she studied English literature and art history at Simon Fraser University. After leaving university, she became an independent bookseller and owned Proprioception Books, a renowned bookstore in downtown Vancouver. Robertson has published nine books of poetry, three books of essays, and a novel. She has been a member of The Kootenay School of Writing and Artspeak Gallery, actively engaging in the poetry and art communities. Currently residing in France, Robertson continues to write and contribute to the literary world.
