Lisa Solberg

Lisa Solberg is a Los Angeles–based American artist known for her multi-disciplinary and multi-dimensional art featuring paintings and installations. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago and received her BFA at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Solberg has exhibited internationally with both solo and group shows. Before pursuing art, she was a competitive gymnast and a professional slopestyle skier. Solberg's work has been praised by art critics for its large-scale abstract expressionist paintings and conceptual installations. She often incorporates readily available materials such as rocks, wood, used drop clothes, tarpaulin, and styrofoam into her creations.
