Lolly Adefope is an English stand-up comedian and actress, specializing in character comedy. She is best known for her role as Fran in the Hulu comedy series Shrill and as Kitty, the ghost of a Georgian noblewoman in the BBC comedy Ghosts. Adefope was born on September 14, 1990, in Sutton, South London, to Nigerian parents of Yoruba descent. She studied English literature at Loughborough University and began performing with a sketch comedy group during her time there. After being rejected from drama school, Adefope started her career as a stand-up comic and gained attention for her solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has been nominated for several awards, including a National Comedy Award in 2021.
