Lonny Chapman Biography
Lon Leonard Chapman (October 1, 1920 – October 12, 2007) was an American actor best known for his numerous guest star appearances on television drama series. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Joplin, Missouri, Chapman graduated from Joplin High School and Joplin Junior College. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II before graduating with a BFA degree from the University of Oklahoma at Norman in 1947. Chapman's acting career began in New York City, where he landed the role of Turk in 'Come Back, Little Sheba.' He made his television debut in 1951 on the series Starlight Theatre, and continued to gain experience and recognition throughout the 1950s.
