Lucy Martin

Lucy Martin (born May 5, 1990) is a British retired professional road and track cyclist. She was born in Whiston, Merseyside and grew up in Widnes, Cheshire. Martin was discovered by British Cycling's Olympic Talent Team at the age of 15 and later joined their under-23 Olympic Academy Programme. In 2011, she signed with a women's team as one of four British riders. After the team disbanded, Martin joined another team for the 2012 season and competed in the Women's road race at the 2012 Summer Olympics. In August 2015, she announced her immediate retirement from competition. Martin currently works in digital content and PR for a cycling team and also serves as a cycling commentator.
