Lucy Owen

Lucy Owen (born 18 June 1971), also known as Lucy Jane Cohen, is a Welsh television news reader. She attended Howell's School in Llandaff, Cardiff, and graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, with a degree in English. Owen started her broadcasting career at BBC Radio Wales as a researcher and later became a reporter and co-presenter for a features program. In 1995, she joined HTV Wales as a newsreader for regional opt-outs during GMTV. From 1996 to 2007, Owen co-presented Wales Tonight, the regional news program on ITV Wales. She has also presented on the defunct ITV News Channel and anchored the main ITV News programs. Since November 2007, Owen has been presenting the BBC Wales evening news program, BBC Wales Today.
