Luis Villalta Aquino, also known as 'El Puma', was a professional boxer born on October 2, 1969, in Lima, Peru. He relocated to Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, to be closer to his trainer and improve his career prospects. While in New Jersey, he worked at a local McDonald's and shared an apartment with two roommates. Villalta achieved notable success in his career, including defending his North American Boxing Association lightweight title against Ricky Quiles on February 28, 2004. Unfortunately, he collapsed shortly after losing the fight and underwent surgery for head trauma at North Broward Medical Center. Tragically, he never regained consciousness and passed away on March 3, 2004. Villalta leaves behind a record of 29 wins, 6 losses, and 1 draw.
