Luke Jerdy Biography
Luke Jerdy, born Majid Luke Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy on January 5, 1990, is a British actor hailing from Derby, East Midlands. As a half-Iranian, he chose to change his full name to Luke Jerdy to avoid confusion during casting. Jerdy rose to fame for his portrayal of Jesse Donovan in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, a role he played regularly from April 2016 to January 2020. In addition to his TV work, he has also showcased his talent in various theatre productions. Prior to Hollyoaks, Jerdy appeared in projects such as The Turing Enigma (2011), Act/Or (2015), Chosen (2016), and made a guest appearance in an episode of Doctors in 2011 titled "An Uneasy Harmony" as Michael Webb.
