Mai Martinez

Mai Martinez is an American news anchor and reporter, born on December 16, 1973. She currently co-anchors the morning news on WBBM (AM) Newsradio 780 AM and 105.9 FM alongside Cisco Cotto. Additionally, she works as a reporter for the all-news radio station. Originally from San Francisco, Martinez holds a bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. She began her broadcasting career as a video editor at WBRC-TV in Birmingham, Alabama, where she worked from 1997 to 2003. Martinez then joined WDSI-TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee as a photographer, general assignment reporter, and fill-in anchor. She later returned to WBRC-TV as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor, gaining national visibility for her coverage of the Natalee Holloway case in Aruba.
