Manuel Alvarez, born c. 1957, is a Cuban-American obstetrician-gynecologist and media personality. He has made frequent appearances on Fox News Channel shows including America's Newsroom, Fox & Friends, Happening Now, Varney & Co., Money with Melissa, The O'Reilly Factor, The Kelly File, and Fox News Weekend. Alvarez currently serves as chairman of the department of obstetrics/gynecology at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. He is also the founder of AskDrManny.com, based in Hoboken, New Jersey. Alvarez is known for his outspoken opposition to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, expressing concerns about its impact on private practice. He has a personal history of being separated from his family during the Cuban Revolution, but was eventually reunited with them in New York.
