Marcel Spears

Marcel Spears Jr. (born May 29, 1997) is an American football linebacker for the Houston Gamblers of the United States Football League (USFL). He played college football at Iowa State and was named to the honorable mention All-Big 12 team at the conclusion of the 2017 season. During that season, Spears also earned the distinction of being named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week twice in consecutive weeks. Prior to his college career, Spears excelled as a three-sport athlete at Olathe North High School, where he received numerous accolades for his performances on the football field. His achievements include All-Sunflower League honors and being named a second-team all-state player by the Wichita Eagle in his senior season.
