Marcus Carl Franklin Biography
Marcus Carl Franklin (born February 24, 1993) is an American actor best known for his portrayal of a young Bob Dylan, who calls himself 'Woody Guthrie', in the biopic I'm Not There. He was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male for this role. Franklin's performance in the film showcases his talent as he portrays a young hobo hitchhiking on freight trains while carrying a guitar case with the inscription 'This machine kills fascists', inspired by Woody Guthrie. He also appeared in Lackawanna Blues on HBO in 2005 and acted in off-Broadway and Broadway productions of Caroline or Change. Franklin has made TV appearances in Dragon Tales and Law & Order as well.
