Marcus Ray
Marcus Kenyon Ray (born August 14, 1976) is an American football coach and former player. He played college football at the University of Michigan, where he was a key member of the 1997 national championship-winning team. Ray played professionally in the NFL for the Oakland Raiders and the Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe. After his playing career, he transitioned into coaching, working at both the high school and college levels. Ray attended Eastmoor Academy in Columbus, Ohio, before joining the Wolverines at Michigan. He earned All-Big Ten Conference honors in 1996 and was known for his strong safety play, recording three interceptions and 100 total tackles that season.
