Mark Gillis Biography
Mark Gillis is a British actor, writer, and director. He is best known for writing, producing, and directing the feature film Sink. Born in Hayes in North West London, Gillis attended Dr Triplett's Primary School and Bishopshalt School. He studied Biochemistry at the University of Kent. During his university years, he formed the comedy act 76a and performed at the Edinburgh Festival. Gillis wrote for BBC Radio 4's Week Ending while touring as a writer and performer. He co-founded and was the artistic director of the touring production company LPC, producing and directing European tours of plays like Waiting for Godot and The Importance of Being Earnest. Gillis has also appeared on stage, film, and television, and was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
