Mark Goodman Biography
Mark Goodman (born October 11, 1952) is an American radio host, TV personality and actor. He gained prominence as one of the original video jockeys (VJs) on MTV, from 1981 to 1987. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Goodman started his radio career at rock station 93.3 WMMR in 1978 and later became the music director of the station. He then moved to New York City to work at WPLJ, a top rock station, where he was heard Monday through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Goodman was on the air the night in December 1980 when John Lennon was tragically murdered. He has also worked as an actor and is currently married to Jill Goodman.
