Mark Haapala Biography
Mark Haapala is an American producer, screenwriter, and director. He gained recognition for his award-winning short film, Dog It Down, which won the 2012 Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival. Haapala has served as an executive producer and head writer for several TV pilots, including Off The Record, The Groom Whisperer, and Pinky and The Fan Girls, which was optioned by the Lifetime channel and won the 'Best Unscripted TV show' at the New York Television Festival in 2014. Born in Irvine, California, Haapala graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2002 with a degree in theatre. He began his career in entertainment as a stand-in for Jerry Ferrara on the HBO show Entourage.
