Mark Hawkins
Mark Hawkins (born 28 December 1985) is a British handball coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the Norwegian club IK Våg. Hawkins was born in Horsham, West Sussex and began playing handball after realizing he was too short for basketball. He played for Ungmennafélagið Afturelding in Iceland and Ruislip Eagles in the UK. Hawkins represented Great Britain in the men's handball tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics and scored 135 goals in 60 international matches. He also coached various British youth teams before becoming the under 20 coach and assistant manager for China women's team. Hawkins currently works as a PE Teacher at Carshalton Boys Sports College.
