Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Mahoney began his career as a tattoo artist after attending the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. He is the owner and principal artist at the Shamrock Social Club located on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Mahoney has tattooed numerous celebrity clients including Kelly Osbourne, Lady Gaga, David Beckham, and Brooklyn Beckham. Additionally, he has made appearances in movies and TV shows such as 'Blood Ties' (2013), 'Black Mass' (2015), 'Entourage' (season 4, episode 5), and 'Unplanned America' (2014, season 2, episode 4).
