Mark Rossini
Mark Rossini is a former agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) who played a crucial role in tracking al-Qaeda prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States. He served as one of the two FBI liaisons to the CIA's Bin Laden Issue Station, responsible for monitoring Osama bin Laden and his associates. Rossini gained attention through his interviews on the PBS series Nova in the episode titled 'The Spy Factory.' In those interviews, he revealed that he had knowledge of two al-Qaeda members, Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, possessing valid US visas in January 2000. However, he was reportedly prevented from sharing this information with the FBI by a CIA employee named Michael Anne Casey. Rossini's revelations shed light on the failure to prevent the hijacking of American Airlines flight 77 on 9/11. He also claimed that Alfreda Frances Bikowsky, a manager at the Bin Laden Issue Station, covered for him in this matter.
