Marla Schaffel Biography
Marla Schaffel is an American actress known for her work in musical theatre. She gained recognition for her award-winning performance in the title role of the musical adaptation of Jane Eyre. Raised in Miami, Florida, Schaffel attended Miami Palmetto High School before studying at the Juilliard School's drama division. She graduated in 1990 and later attended the Moscow Art Theatre School. Schaffel's career started with a role in the original Broadway production of Les Misérables in 1991, where she served as a swing and understudy for the role of Fantine. She has also appeared in the television series Kung Fu: The Legend Continues.
