Martin Agronsky
Martin Zama Agronsky (January 12, 1915 – July 25, 1999) was an American journalist, political analyst, and television host. Agronsky began his career in 1936, working at the Palestine Post in Jerusalem before becoming a freelance journalist in Europe. During World War II, he served as a war correspondent for NBC, covering the war across three continents. After the war, Agronsky covered McCarthyism for ABC, fearlessly challenging Senator McCarthy. He won a Peabody Award in 1952 for his courageous reporting. Agronsky later joined NBC, where he covered news and interviewed notable figures, including Martin Luther King Jr. He also won the Alfred I. duPont Award in 1961 for his coverage of the Eichmann trial in Jerusalem.
