Martin Tyler Biography
Martin Parmar Tyler (born 14 September 1945) is an English football commentator and semi-professional football coach. He is best known for his work as a commentator for Sky Sports from 1990 to 2023, covering the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, among other domestic and international competitions. Prior to his tenure at Sky Sports, Tyler had commentated for ITV in the 1970s and 1980s. He also lent his voice to the popular football video game series FIFA from 2005 to 2019. In 2003, Tyler was recognized as the FA Premier League Commentator of the Decade. Tyler began his career in football publishing and journalism, assisting in the publishing of Marshall Cavendish's Book of Football and working as a ghostwriter for Jimmy Hill's column in The Times.
