Martin Ware (1915 – 23 September 1998) was a British physician and editor. After serving in the Royal Army Medical Corps, Ware joined the Medical Research Council as a publications officer. In 1950, he became assistant editor of the British Medical Journal, and later, in 1966, he succeeded Hugh Clegg as editor-in-chief. Ware held the position of editor-in-chief until 1975. His tenure saw significant advancements in the journal's content and reach. Throughout his career, Ware made valuable contributions to the field of medicine and played a crucial role in shaping the British Medical Journal's reputation as a leading publication in the medical community.
