Martino Caputo

Martino Caputo (born 1973) is an Italian-Canadian gangster currently serving a life sentence for murder. Born in Capistrano, Calabria, Italy, Caputo moved to the Toronto area and settled in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Prior to 2014, Caputo had no criminal record and was known as a successful businessman, owning and operating the well-regarded Savourie restaurant in Forest Hill from 1996 to 2004. Despite his charitable donations and reputation as a kind and generous restaurateur, Caputo was revealed to be a high-level drug partner in a sophisticated criminal organization during his 2014 trial. Caputo served as the Toronto agent of Montreal's criminal organization, involved in drug trafficking and the potential for making millions of dollars.
