Mason Adams Biography
Mason Adams (born Mason Abrams; February 26, 1919 – April 26, 2005) was an American actor known for his work in radio, television, and film. In the late 1940s to early 1970s, he was a prominent voice in radio programs and provided voiceovers for numerous television commercials. He later resumed his commercial work in the 1980s and 1990s. Adams made a successful transition to acting in the early '70s and is best known for his role as Managing Editor Charlie Hume on the television series Lou Grant from 1977 to 1983. He also appeared in various other television shows and movies, including Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981) and F/X (1986). Adams was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and studied theater and speech at the University of Wisconsin before pursuing a career in acting.
