Matt Blair Biography
Matthew Albert Blair (September 20, 1950 – October 22, 2020) was an American professional football player. He played as an outside linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL for all 12 seasons of his career from 1974 to 1985. Born in Hilo, Hawaii, Blair moved to Ohio during high school. He played college football at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Iowa State University. Blair was a member of the 1969 Junior College Championship squad and earned a half scholarship through football. He was recruited by top colleges like Florida, Florida State, Alabama, and Iowa State, ultimately choosing Iowa State. Throughout his professional career, Blair showcased his skills as a formidable outside linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings.
