Matt Gentry
Matthew Judah Gentry, born on July 30, 1982, is a Canadian-American former wrestler. Despite being born in the United States, he represented Canada at the Olympic Games due to holding dual citizenship. Gentry competed in the Men's freestyle 74 kg category at both the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics, finishing 5th in the latter. He qualified for his second Olympic appearance by winning gold at the FILA Pan American Olympic qualifier. Gentry attended Stanford University, where he graduated in 2004 with a degree in Human Biology. During his time at Stanford, he achieved great success as a wrestler, going undefeated with a record of 42-0 in 2004 and becoming the school's first 157 lbs NCAA champion. Gentry has also worked as an assistant coach at Stanford and currently serves as the assistant coach at The Un.
