Matt Hicks (born 1961) is a sports broadcaster known for his work calling Texas Rangers games on the radio alongside Eric Nadel. He joined the Rangers in the middle of the 2012 season after spending 10 years with the Corpus Christi Hooks. Hicks took over as the primary television play-by-play announcer for the Rangers, replacing Dave Barnett due to health issues. His promotion was made permanent before the 2013 season. In addition to baseball, Hicks has called high school football for the Texas Sports Radio Network, professional ice hockey for the El Paso Buzzards, and worked at the collegiate level with various teams. He has covered football, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse.
