Matthew Ryan Kemp, born on September 23, 1984, is an American former professional baseball outfielder. Kemp played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for various teams including the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and Colorado Rockies. He began his career with the Dodgers in 2006 and played with them until 2014, returning for the 2018 season. During his career, Kemp was named to three All-Star teams and received two Gold Glove Awards and two Silver Slugger Awards. He was known for his impressive stats and accomplishments, leading the National League in numerous categories such as runs scored, total bases, and home runs in 2011.
