Matt Nolan

Matt Nolan (born 1974) is an English drummer, bespoke musical instrument maker, and metal sculptor. He is known for his work as an independent cymbal and gong maker, operating from his workshop in Bath, England. Nolan is part of a small community of artisan cymbalsmiths, attracting the interest of professional drummers and musicians. Prior to his career in instrument making, Nolan worked as an electrical engineer. He began experimenting with metal percussion instruments in 2005 and established his one-man artisan business in 2008. Nolan crafts a variety of metal percussion instruments, using materials such as bronze alloys, stainless steel, and titanium. His expertise and innovative creations have led to numerous consultations and collaborations within the music industry.
