Matt Peterson
Matt Peterson (born April 26, 1967) is an American professional golfer. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he played college golf at the University of Georgia where he won one event and was a three-time All-American. Peterson turned professional in 1990 and played on the Nationwide Tour from 1992 to 2001, and again from 2003 to 2004, winning once at the 1995 Nike Central Georgia Open. He also played on the PGA Tour in 2002, with a best finish of T-10 at the 2002 Valero Texas Open. Currently, Peterson serves as the head professional at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Georgia. He has also won the 1993 Georgia Open and the 2007 Georgia PGA Championship.
