Matteo Berrettini

Matteo Berrettini is an Italian professional tennis player born on April 12, 1996. He has achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 6 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in January 2022, and a doubles ranking of world No. 105 in July 2019. Berrettini has won seven ATP Tour singles titles and two doubles titles. He made history by becoming the first man born in the 1990s and the first Italian man to reach the quarterfinals or better at all four major tennis tournaments. In 2021, he reached the singles final of the Wimbledon Championships, his best performance in a major tournament. Berrettini turned professional in 2015 and quickly rose through the ranks, winning titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour and ATP Challenger Tour.
