Maureen C. O'Connell is the County Clerk of Nassau County, New York. She was born on May 23, 1950 and attended Mineola High School. O'Connell is a registered nurse, having graduated from the Flushing Hospital and Medical Center School of Nursing. She also holds a B.S. in Health Care Administration from St. Joseph's College and a Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law. Prior to her current role, O'Connell served as a Trustee and Deputy Mayor of the Village of East Williston and was the first woman to be sent by the 17th District to the New York State Assembly. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Adelphi University School of Nursing.
