Mauricio Lara

Mauricio Lara Acosta (born 23 February 1998) is a Mexican professional boxer. He is known for holding the WBA featherweight title in 2023. Lara is currently ranked as the world's best active featherweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, fourth by The Ring, and first by BoxRec. In a notable match, Lara faced undefeated former IBF featherweight champion Josh Warrington on 13 February 2021. Despite Warrington's efforts, Lara knocked him down multiple times, ultimately resulting in Warrington's first career loss.
