Max Krause
Max Joseph Krause (April 5, 1909 – July 11, 1984) was an American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins. Born in Spokane, Washington, Krause attended Gonzaga Preparatory School where he excelled in football, basketball, baseball, and track. He continued his football career at Gonzaga University, leading the team as a fullback and halfback. Notable for his impressive 70-yard scoring run during a game against St. Ignatius (now the University of San Francisco) in 1930, Krause showcased his skills and became recognized as a talented player in the league.
