Meg Phillips Biography
Meg Ellen Phillips is a former Australian cricketer who played as an all-rounder for Tasmanian Tigers and Hobart Hurricanes. She was born on February 2, 1996, in Evandale, northern Tasmania. Phillips made her debut for Tasmanian Roar at the age of 16, becoming one of the youngest cricketers to play in an Australian senior cricket team. She has also represented Lancashire in county cricket and played semi-professional basketball for Launceston Tornadoes. In 2012, Phillips was named young female cricketer of the year and captained the Tasmanian team in the Cricket Australia Under-18 Female Championships. She made history by being the first female to have played in the SATIS cricket competition.
