Meghan Murphy Biography
Meghan Emily Murphy is a Canadian writer, journalist, and founder of Feminist Current, a feminist website and podcast. She attended Simon Fraser University, where she obtained a BA in Women's Studies in 2010 and completed a master's degree in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies in 2012. Murphy began her journalism career in 2009, working for the F Word Feminist Media Collective as a writer, host, producer, and editor. She also wrote regularly for rabble.ca and worked as a podcast network producer and evening editor for rabble from 2012 to 2016. Based in Vancouver, Murphy's writing, speeches, and talks often criticize third-wave feminism, male feminists, the sex industry, exploitation of women in mass media, censorship, and gender identity legislation.
