    Mel House (born December 27, 1976) is an American filmmaker known for his work in the horror and science fiction genres. He gained recognition with his directorial debut, Fade to Black (2001), an independent film. House went on to direct other notable films such as Witchcraft 13: Blood of the Chosen (2007) and Closet Space (2007). In 2007, he also directed a zombie-themed music video for musician Jonah Matranga's single 'Not About A Girl Or A Place.' House's film, Walking Distance (2009), a science fiction/horror film, was shot in Houston and Galveston, Texas, before Hurricane Ike hit. He has also appeared in the film Renfield: The Undead (2010), directed by Bob Willems. House is married to actress Melanie Donihoo.
