Melanie Booth Biography
Melanie Lynn Booth is a Canadian retired soccer player born on August 24, 1984, in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. She played as a defender for Sky Blue FC in the National Women's Soccer League and the Canada women's national soccer team. Booth attended the University of Florida, where she played for the Florida Gators women's soccer team from 2003 to 2005 and returned in 2007 to complete her collegiate career, graduating with a bachelor's degree in applied physiology and kinesiology in 2008. She also briefly played with Ottawa Fury Women. Booth earned her first cap with the Canadian national team at the age of 17 and represented the U-19 national team, earning 22 caps and scoring three goals.
