Mi-Jung Lee Biography
Mi-Jung Lee (born September 12, 1966) is a Canadian television journalist and news anchor based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is known for formerly co-anchoring the weeknight 6pm newscast alongside Scott Roberts on CTV Vancouver. After Roberts moved to CTV Edmonton, Lee began anchoring solo. Born in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, South Korea, Lee moved to Vancouver with her family at the age of 4. She graduated from Sir Charles Tupper Secondary School in 1984 and went on to complete an undergraduate degree in English literature at the University of British Columbia. Later, she obtained a post-graduate degree in journalism from Ryerson University. Lee started her on-air career in 1990 as a reporter and part-time anchor at CHEK-TV in Victoria before joining CHAN-TV (BCTV, then CTV's Vancouver affiliate) in 1992. She served in various capacities and eventually anchored the station's News Hour Final weeknights until 1998. In the same year, she joined CIVT-TV (then independent station VTV) as a co-anchor for the 6pm news.
