Michael Chambers Biography
Michael Chambers, also known as Boogaloo Shrimp, is an American dancer and actor. Born on November 13, 1967, in Wilmington, California, he gained fame for his role as 'Turbo' in the popular 1980s films Breakin' and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. Chambers became well-known for his skills in popping, boogaloo, and robot dancing, as well as b-boying. He was part of the Hollywood phase of these dance styles. Chambers and his Breakin' co-star, Adolfo 'Shabba Doo' Quiñones, along with other dancers from the films, were featured in music videos for Lionel Richie's 'All Night Long' and Chaka Khan's 'I Feel for You'. Chambers' dance style was influenced by the Samoan American dance group Blue City Strutters, whom he encountered while in junior high.
