Michael Crawford
Michael Patrick Smith, professionally known as Michael Crawford, is an English actor, comedian, and singer. Born on 19 January 1942, Crawford gained popularity for his portrayal of Frank Spencer in the sitcom Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em and his leading role as the Phantom in the musical The Phantom of the Opera. He has received widespread acclaim, winning both the Laurence Olivier Award and the Tony Award for his performance in The Phantom of the Opera. Throughout his career, Crawford has appeared in numerous films, television shows, and stage productions in London's West End and Broadway. He is also the author of the autobiography Parcel Arrived Safely: Tied With String and has been actively involved with the Sick Children's Trust since 1987.
