Michael Howard Finley (born March 6, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player and current Vice President of Basketball Operations for the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA. He played 15 seasons in the NBA, primarily for the Mavericks, but also for the Phoenix Suns, San Antonio Spurs, and Boston Celtics. Finley was a two-time NBA All-Star and won an NBA championship with the Spurs in 2007. Prior to his NBA career, Finley attended Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois, where he led his team to win the 1991 IHSA class AA boys basketball tournament. Finley is renowned for his contributions to the game of basketball and his successful tenure with multiple NBA teams.
